Barbara RIES, wife of Jacob RIES of Walnut Township, Jefferson County, died at the family residence July 16, 1911. She was born in Germany Mar. 30, 1838. In 1850 she came to America, settling in Penn.; married in 1854. Eight children, four sons and four daughters. Two of the sons and two of the daughters are still living. Mr. and Mrs. RIES had lived for many years in Walnut Township.
