Samuel LIVICS (sic - LIVIX), a pioneer and well known character near Merrimac, died very suddenly Friday night. He asked for a drink of water, and died in a few moments after taking it. There was a rumor that something was wrong with the water; but little credence is given it. The trouble was doubtless heart disease. He was 50 years old.
[Ed. note: Buried in Germanville Union Free Cemetery. His wife was Lydia BALDOSIER who died in 1884.]
