BROWN Funeral To Be Monday

Death came this morning to Jessie L. BROWN, long-time resident of Fairfield. She passed away at the Nelson nursing home about 9:05 a.m. where she had been a patient for the past four years.

Last rites will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Raymond Funeral home with the Rev. Donald Eagle in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Jessie L. BROWN was born Oct. 25, 1878, at Douds, Iowa, the daughter of the late Henry S. and Caroline STOFFEL BACON (sic. a/k/a Carrie F. STOFFEL BACON). She was a graduate from the Fairfield high school and spent most of her entire life in this community.

She was united in marriage in November, 1898 (sic. actually November 23, 1899), to Charles R. CONLEE, at Fairfield. She was married second time to Hal BROWN in 1907. The wedding took place at Creston.

A member of the First Christian church, Mrs. BROWN spent most all of her life here.

She is survived by a son, Robert CONLEE, Albuquerque, New Mexico; two sisters, Mrs. Charles BELDING and Mrs. Eric SHRINER, both of Fairfield; two grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
