C. R. CONLEE DIES TUESDAY
Veteran of Spanish-American, World wars was former Fairfield attorney

Charles R. CONLEE, former Fairfield attorney, died at 6:35 Tuesday afternoon in the Fitzsimmons hospital in Denver, Colo., at the age of 62.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. CONLEE born in Besta, Nebr. They moved to Fairfield when he was quite young. He married Miss Lida HOPE of Birmingham on Jan. 18, 1911 (sic. her obituary has the year as 1913). Mr. CONLEE practiced law in both Fairfield and Birmingham, and later for several years in Denver.

A veteran of both Spanish-American and World wars, he was injured in the world war and had to spend most of his time since then in a different climate, settling in Albuquerque, N. M.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Robert CONLEE, of Albuquerque, and a grandson, Philip aged four. Also surviving are two sisters Mrs. C. F. LONG of Fairfield and Mrs. Hazel RORHER (sic) of Washington, Iowa. A brother, John, died two years ago in Centerville.

The body will arrive Friday at the Catcott Funeral Home in Birmingham.

CONLEE Funeral Saturday Morning

The Charles R. CONLEE funeral party will arrive in Fairfield on Friday afternoon on the C. B. and Q. train No. 6. The body will be taken directly from the train to the Murray Funeral Home in Fairfield, where services will be held Saturday morning.

Friends may phone the funeral home regarding the hour of the service any time after three o'clock Friday afternoon.

Mr. CONLEE died Tuesday afternoon in the Fitzsimmons hospital in Denver. Colo.

Admin. note: Charles was first married to Jessie L. BACON, Nov. 23, 1899; they divorced. His marriage to Lida was his second. Jessie subsequently married Hal BROWN, died in 1959, and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery with Hal in Lot 2nd.192.
