Harold Lee LANE

Harold Lee LANE, 77, of Fairfield, died Friday, March 2, 2012, at home.

Per his request, no service or visitation is planned, and his body has been cremated.

Cards and memorials to a charity of the donor's choice may be sent to Deborah Jaquez at 806 North B St., Fairfield 52556.

Mr. LANE was born Aug. 3, 1935, in Cabool, Mo. the son of James T. and Georgia CAMPBELL LANE. He married Peggy LANE, and they later divorced.

Mr. LANE was employed by Iowa Malleable Iron Company. He worked there more than 33 years and finished his career as a molding supervisor.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean conflict.

Survivors include three children: Deborah JAQUEZ of Fairfield, Michael LANE of Ohio and Karina GOOD of Fairfield; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers: James D. LANE of Fairfield, Daniel D. LANE of Brighton and Ronald J. THOMAS of Webster, Texas; and four sisters: Karen GORDON of Washington, Iowa, Patricia LATHROP of Fairfield, Kathy KLETT of Fairfield and Connie GARDNER of Wales, Wis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Della Marie OWENS; one brother: Richard THOMAS; and his stepmother: Madeline LANE.
