Mrs. Ada B. SMITH, 95, lifelong resident of Fairfield, died Sunday at 3:15 a.m. at the Jefferson County hospital after an illness of a few weeks. She entered the hospital Dec. 30.
Mrs. SMITH resided in an apartment at 51 1/2 E. Broadway, where she had made her home for 42 years.
Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral home in charge of Dr. Curtis R. Douglass. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
The former Ada BLACK, Mrs. SMITH was born Nov. 24, 1870 in Fairfield, the daughter of Frank J. L. and Mary GAINES BLACK. She was reared and educated in this community. She was married to Harry E. SMITH Nov. 16, 1893. Her husband, a stockman and farm operator, died Dec. 16, 1948.
Mrs. SMITH was a member of the First Presbyterian church. She is survived by a cousin, Nelle KIRKPATRICK, Fairfield and several nieces and nephews.
