Mrs. Catherine B. CONSBROCK, 78, died at 5:20 p.m. Wednesday at the Jefferson County Hospital. She had undergone surgery a week ago in Iowa City.
Mrs. CONSBROCK had lived in this community for the past 12 years residing with her sister, Mrs. Harry COOK, at 104 E. Hempstead.
Services will be held at the Weston Behner Funeral Home on Friday at 1 p.m., with the Rev. John R. Dilley officiating. Burial will be in the Hill Crest Memorial Park in Fort Madison. A memorial has been established at the First United Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. CONSBROCK was born May 30, 1895 in Sigourney, the daughter of J. Frank and Anna DOUGHERTY BASHAM. On Jan. 31, 1917, whe (sp) was married to George A. CONSBROCK. He died in August, 1962. She had lived in Fort Madison for 41 years before moving to Fairfield.
She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Fairfield, the Eastern Star, Diamond Chapter No. 37, and the White Shrine of Fort Madison.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. George Ann HANNEMAN of Fairfield, one grandchild and two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Harry COOK. She was prededed in death by one son, one sister and one brother.
