BUCHANAN Rites Will Be Tuesday

Funeral services for Lloyd B. BUCHANAN (sic. Lloyd Bert BUCHANAN), 67, will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home.

The Rev. C. E. Stanley will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Lloyd B. BUCHANAN died about 2:50 p.m. Sunday at the Jefferson County Hospital where he had been a patient since July 8. He had been in failing health for some time.

He was born June 17, 1901, in Indiana, the son of George and Emma STEWART BUCHANAN. He had been employed at the Iowa Malleable Iron Company for a number of years and more recently at the Jefferson Motor Co.

He is survived by one brother, Dell BUCHANAN, Clarence, Mo.

Jefferson county cemetery transcriptions and his Fairfield Ledger obituary has the DOB as June 17, 1901 but SSDI records use July 14, 1901. Not sure how to resolve that discrepancy.
