George BUCHANAN Taken In Death

George BUCHANAN, former long-time employe [sic] at the Iowa Malleable Iron Co., died at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Jefferson County Hospital. He had been seriously ill the past seven weeks.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. C. E. Stanley in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

George BUCHANAN, 87, was born May 12, 1881, in Indiana, the son of Newberry and Rose Ann Buchanan. He was married to Edna W. TURNER on June 2, 1934 and had lived in this community over 45 years. The family home is at 804½ W. Stone.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bert L. BUCHANAN, Fairfield, and Dell BUCHANAN, Clarence, Mo.; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his one brother, three sisters, and a daughter.

He was a charter member of the Church of the Nazarene.
