The body of Harry Ray HICKENBOTTOM, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph HICKENBOTTOM of Fairfield, has been returned from overseas.
Pfs. (sic - PFC) Harry R. HICKENBOTTOM was born September 18, 1924, at Biggsville, Ill., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph HICKENBOTTOM. He was killed in action on January 19, 1945. Before his entrance in service he was employed at the Louden plant. He is survived by a son Jerry Wayne, who resides with his grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Loren STARK; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph HICKENBOTTOM, Fairfield, and a brother, Raymond. A sister, Hazel, died in October, 1942 (sic - October 8, 1943). Last rites will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home with Dr. E. A. Piper in charge. Burial will be in the Lockridge cemetery. Military services will be in charge of the Fairfield American Legion Post and World War II vets will serve as pallbearers.
