Hazel Dell ALLISON

LIBERTYVILLE - Hazel Dell ALLISON, 83, of Libertyvillle, died at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 1995, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

The service will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Clark officiating. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville and the Libertyville Community Center.

Mrs. ALLISON was born Aug. 28, 1911, near Troy in Davis County, the daughter of John W. and Katie L. RODIBAUGH PEEBLER. She grew up in Batavia, then moved to Keosauqua, graduated from Ottumwa High School and Parsons College. On Dec. 12, 1931, she married Keith LeRoy ALLISON at Crown Point, Ind. He died Oct. 1, 1983. She taught for 30 years in Jefferson County, rural Abingdon, Ollie, Richland, Packwood and Pekin schools. She lived most of her married life in Jefferson County and since 1950 in Libertyville. She was active in card clubs and traveling was a hobby. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Heritage Club and Libertyville Travelers.

Surviving are a son, Robert R. "Bob" of Ottumwa; a daughter, Margaret Mae "Peg" FRUSHOUR of Batavia; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen THOMSON of Fairfield and Wanda McNIEL of Fosston, Minn.; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Van and John PEEBLER; a sister, Edith WHISLER; two half-brothers, Don and Cecil PEEBLER.
