Keith ALLISON dies

LIBERTYVILLE - Keith L. ALLISON, 75, longtime resident of Libertyville, died at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Jefferson County Hospital.

ALLISON spent his entire life in the Libertyville and Fairfield Communities and was involved in a number of business and civic affairs.

He farmed and operated his own trucking business hauling gravel and lime, at one time he owned the Libertyville store, he was employed at Luckman Hardware store in Fairfield and at Parsons College, and retired after being employed at the Iowa Liquor store in Fairfield for a number of years.

ALLISON served as treasurer of the Jefferson County Saddle Club and attended Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyvilee.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Commor officiating. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery near Libertyville.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. this evening at the Raymond Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Faith United Methodist Chruch or the Libertyville Community Center.

Keith L. ALLISON was born Feb. 19, 1908, near Libertyville. He was the son of John and Loeda POTTS ALLISON.

He was married Dec. 12, 1931, to Hazel PEEBLER at Crown Point, Ind. She survives.

In addition to his widow ALLISON is survived by a son, Bob ALLISON, Libertyville; a daughter, Margaret "Peg" ALLISON, Gilbert, and three grandchildren.

Other survivors are two brothers and two sisters: Merle "Bill" ALLISON, Libertyville, and Jack ALLISON, Liberty, Mo.; Margaret "Beth" COOKSEY, and Willa Mae HARRISON, both of Libertyville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
