MRS. D. R. BEATTY DIED THIS MORN

Funeral Services Will Be Held Monday Afternoon At 2 Oclock At Home

Mrs. D.R. BEATTY (sic. David R. BEATTY) died this morning at 11 o'clock at her home 203 East Burlington street. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home in charge of Dr. H. Sears Thompson (sic. not related to this contributor). Interment will be at Evergreen cemetery. The relatives request that no flowers be sent. Mrs. BEATTY was born July 28, 1846. She is survived by her husband and three children, Mrs. S. L. MACHESNEY of this city, Mrs. M. S. RENSHAW (sic. should be Mrs. M. C. RENSHAW) of Des Moines and a son Frank A. BEATTY of East Moline.

Note: Maiden name was SHEARER (daughter of Peter and Amanda SHEARER). Born July 28, 1846 in Pennsylvania. Her Jefferson county death record was evidently recorded as giving her DOD as Sept. 26, 1924. Her obituary published on the 27th indicated that her death occurred that morning.

Buried in Evergreen cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa. Old.P.324. Her headstone has "Clara" for her first name. The 1935 obituary of her husband David referred to her as "Clarrisa F. SHEARER".

MRS. D. R. BEATTY RITES HELD TODAY

Funeral services for Mrs. D. R. BEATTY, who passed away Saturday morning at her home, 203 East Burlington, were held this afternoon at two o'clock from the family home. Dr. H. Sears Thomson of the Presbyterian church conducted the last rites. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery.

To all whom it may concern:

Notice is hereby given that an instrument, purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Clara F. BEATTY, deceased, is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the District Court of Jefferson County, and that Friday, October 3rd, A. D., 1924, at 10 o'clock a.m., it being the 17th day of the September term, 1924, of said court, has been set for proof and final hearing of same.

Witness my hand and the seal of said Court, this 29th day of September, 1924.
