Note: Margery is believed to have been born January 3, 1840. She died on October 18, 1920. Her maiden name in Jefferson county genealogy sources has been given as "IRELAND". Two Cedar county Iowa biographies of her husband, Moreau CARROLL, refer to his 1869 marriage to "Miss Margery J. GRACE". Not sure if "GRACE" was the actual maiden name, or "IRELAND", with one or the other being a middle or other married name. Any clarification would be appreciated.
Margery is buried in Evergreen cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa. 2nd.042. Where Moreau CARROLL is buried is not known to this contributor at this time. Two daughters, Nancy Grace CARROLL and Elizabeth "Lizzie" CARROLL JOHNSON (with her husband Job, as well) are also buried in this plot. Also, Margery CARROLL SHEARER, evidently one of the grandchildren.
