On Monday evening, at her home north of this city, occurred the death of Mrs. Nora (sic - Mary Lenora) SHEARER, wife of F. J. SHEARER. She has been ill about a month, but her condition was not considered alarming until a short time previous to death. Deceased was a daughter of Mr and Mrs J M WHITHAM, old residents of this county, now living in Nebraska. She was born and reared in this county, and both as child and woman had a wide circle of friends who will mourn the taking away of her young life. She was married to Mr SHEARER in Nebraska, February 6th, 1880, and they have since made their home here. Three children were born to them, two of whom died in infancy, and the third, a son about four weeks old, survives the mother.--- The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, and were conducted by Rev A B McMerkle (? - McMackie?). The remains were interred in the Evergreen Cemory (sic - Cemetery).
