George Frederick SHUPPY, son of Chris and Louise GERNELINE SHUPPY, born on a farm near Merrimac in Walnut township, Jefferson County, Iowa, Sept. 2, 1857. Lutheran church. When nine years old his father was taken by death...Married Ida Augusta REIS March 3, 1887; one daughter Dora. Died at his home near Merrimac May 16, 1936...

[Ed. note: Buried in Germanville Union Free Cemetery. Wife Ida outlived him by 20 years and died in 1956.]
