May 21, 1982Sarah NELSON dies at 66
Sarah V. NELSON, 66, died at 7:45 a.m. Thursday at the home of her daughter, Linda McINTIRE, 1105 S. Main.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa. Lother Lengtat of the Fairfield Congregation of Jehovas Witnesses will officiate and burial will be in Schaul Cemetery in Ottumwa. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. this evening at the funeral home in Ottumwa. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in charge of Florine DeBuhr, 3 Carter Court Lane, Ottumwa, 52501, or the Jefferson County Health Nursing Service.
Sarah V. NELSON was born May 15, in Selma, the daughter of Simon and Myrtle ARMENTROUT OVERTURF. She spent the past year with her daughter in Fairfield.
Her marriage to Nels B. NELSON took place June 16, 1943. He died Jan. 15, 1954.
She is survived by three daughters: Ione RIEKS, Iowa Falls; Linda McINTIRE, Fairfield; and Barbara McCORDELL, Ottumwa. Also seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret HARTLEY, Marshalltown.
