Tuesday service for W. L. FRY

William L. FRY, 76, retired Fairfield factory executive and member of a pioneer Jefferson County family, died Saturday at 11:26 p.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital. A resident of Fairfield since 1931, he had been in failing health for several years.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Riggs officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at an earlier time.

FRY was born March 20, 1906 at St. Paul, Minn., the son of Albert A. and Agnes LOUDEN FRY. He was reared and educated in St. Paul, graduating from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He was married to Elsa WELCKER Aug. 2, 1930 at Lake Minnetonka, Minn.

From 1953 to 1963, FRY served as executive vice president and general manager of the Louden Machinery Co., Fairfield's oldest industry. He was a grandson of William LOUDEN, founder of the company, and the third generation of his family to head the firm.

FRY was chairman of the board of directors of the Iowa Malleable Iron Co. and a director of the Iowa State Bank and Trust Co. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Iowa Manufacturers Association, Elks Lodge, Abracadabra Club and Izaak Walton League.

FRY was named to the Parsons College board of trustees in 1952, serving on that body for many years. He was one of two trustees for whom Fry-Thomas Fieldhouse was named when the building was completed in 1958.

FRY is survived by his wife; one son, William L. FRY Jr., Edmonds, Washington; one daughter, Marcia KRANE, Edina, Minn., and six grandchildren.

Memorials have been established to the First United Presbyterian Church and the Jefferson County Hospital.

TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN THE ESTATE OF WILLIAM L. FRY, DECEASED:

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT ON THE 14TH DAY OF DECEMBER, 1982, THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF WILLIAM L. FRY, DECEASED BEARING DATE OF THE 31ST DAY OF AUGUST, 1959, AND FIRST CODICIL DATED JANUARY 13, 1978 AND SECOND CODICIL DATED APRIL 16, 1980 WERE ADMITTED TO PROBATE IN THE ABOVE NAMED COURT AND THAT IOWA DES MOINES NATIONAL BANK WAS APPOINTED EXECUTOR OF SAID ESTATE.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ANY ACTION TO SET ASIDE SAID WILL MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF SAID COUNTY WITHIN SIX MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE, OR THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ALL PERSONS INDEBTED TO SAID ESTATE ARE REQUESTED TO MAKE IMMEDIATE PAYMENT TO THE UNDERSIGNED, AND CREDITORS HAVING CLAIMS AGAINST SAID ESTATE SHALL FILE THEM WITH THE CLERK OF THE ABOVE NAMED DISTRICT COURT, AS PROVIDED BY LAW, DULY AUTHENTICATED, FOR ALLOWANCE; AND UNLESS SO FILED WITHIN SIX MONTHS FROM THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE (UNLESS OTHERWISE ALLOWED OR PAID) SUCH CLAIM SHALL THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.
