Dorothy Louise CHAMP

Dorothy Louise CHAMP, 81, 1007 E. Madison Ave., died at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 1998, at Jefferson County Hospital.

Funeral service (sic.) will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Norman Channel officiating. Burial wll be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Jefferson County Hospital.

Mrs. CHAMP was born Feb. 5, 1917, in Fairfield, the daughter of Walter R. and Grace MULLENIX BRUDERS. She married Oren Fay CHAMP Aug. 20, 1944, in Fairfield. He died May 1, 1996.

Mrs. CHAMP had lived in the Fairfield community most of her live. She was a graduate of Fairfield High School. She was a seamstress at Fairfield Glove Co., and worked in the toy shop at Martin Drug Store. She was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Survivors include one sister, Shirley VANNATTA of Fairfield; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sherry CHAMP; and two sisters, Ruth CHERRY and Eleanor SIMPSON.
