Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery tomorrow afternoon for John H. KETCHAM, retired Burlington railroad conductor, who passed away in his sleep Thursday night while on a vacation in Key West, Florida. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Mr. KETCHAM was well known here. He married Mae SPRAY (sic - Lillie Mae) of Fairfield, who preceded him in death in June, 1943.
He spent practically all of his life in Ottumwa and was retired in September, 1946, while serving as passenger conductor on the Denver Zephyr.
He remarried last fall and moved to Nisswa, Minn. He and Mrs. KETCHAM went to Florida after Christmas and were planning to return north in a few days.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harold HIGH of Cleveland, Ohio, and three sisters, one residing in Ottumwa.
Funeral services will be held at the Jay Funeral home in Ottumwa at 2 p.m. tomorrow. The body will then be brought to Fairfield for burial.
