Julia V. 'Judy' ANDERSON

Julia V. "Judy" ANDERSON, 89, of Stockport, died at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at home.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Stockport Christian Church, with the Rev. Jason Mott officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery, northeast of Stockport.

Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the family present from 5-7 p.m.

Memorials to Spencer Cemetery or Stockport Christian Church may be left at the funeral home or church or may be mailed to the family at 2210 190th Ave., Donnellson 52625.

Mrs. ANDERSON was born Dec. 1, 1922, in rural Stockport, the daughter of Floyd and Mary DOZE HESTON. She married Wendell L. "Burky" ANDERSON Feb. 27, 1943, in Kahoka, Mo. He died April 12, 1992.

Mrs. ANDERSON graduated from Stockport High School. She was a homemaker and had been a cook at Stockport Middle School.

Mrs. ANDERSON was a member of Stockport Christian Church and American Legion Auxiliary Elvin E. Cecil Unit No. 147 of Stockport.

She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her three cats, cheering for the Hawkeyes and spending time with family.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn WALTERS and husband Vincent of Des Moines and Julie HUNSAKER and husband Linn of Mount Pleasant; two sons, Steven ANDERSON and wife Mary Ann of Donnellson and Richard ANDERSON and wife Jane of Birmingham; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack HESTON of Gulfport, Miss., and Charles "Bud" HESTON of Stockport; and her special friend, Willard Macy of Stockport.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Larry ANDERSON; and one brother, Roger HESTON.
