Jeroldine W. Elston, 83, of 3311 W. Jackson Ave., died at 6:40 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2003, at the Jefferson County Hospital.

The body has been cremated. No service is scheduled at this time.

Arrangments are in the care of Raymond Funeral Home.

Mrs. Elston was born Dec. 14, 1919, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Macon and Helen Smith Washington. She married Millard Elston Jr. Feb. 20, 1943, in Cleveland.

Mrs. Elston was a resident of Cleveland for 76 years. She graduated from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. She was an elementary school teacher in Cleveland for 20 years.

She was a member of the Eliza Bryant Auxiliary No. 3 and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Eta Iota Omega Chapter.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Millard Mickey Elston III of Fairfield and Paul Elston of Atlanta, Ga.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother Harold Dorell of San Francisco, Calif.; and one sister, Ruth Ousley of Chicago, Ill.

Mrs. Elston was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Paul Washington.
