Elsie G. SMITH

Elsie G. SMITH, 70, resident of the Fairfield Community since 1974, died at 5:15 p.m. Thursday at the Parkview Care Center.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Behner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Elsie G. SMITH was born Nov. 16, 1912, in Weaver. She was the daughter of Charley and Elsie L. CLARK BROWN. Her marriage to Luther J. SMITH took place at Burlington. He preceded her in death.

She was reared and educated in Dallas City, Ill., and came to Fairfield in 1974, from Winona, Mo.

Survivors include a daughter, Louella KECK, Fairfield; two sisters, Fern YODER, Fairfield, and Nellie ERWIN, Clarksville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. SMITH was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister and great-granddaughter.
