POOL services

Services for Dale "Pete" POOL, 70, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. D.O. Van Dyne officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at Birmingham.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.

POOL died at 1:55 a.m. Monday at the Jefferson County Hospital. He had resided at 300 N. Ninth St.

Dale POOL was born May 18, 1913 in Van Buren County. He was the son of Delbert and Nellie STANSBERRY POOL and lived most of his life in the Fairfield Community. He was a farmer and later worked on the production line at the Dexter Comany before his retirement. POOL served with the U.S. Army during World War II.

He is survived by two sisters and two brothers: Laura COWLES, Ottumwa; Wealtha DAVISSON, Fairfield; Lester POOL, Fairfield; and Stanley POOL, Grass Valley, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.
