Arrangements are in the care of Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mount Pleasant.

Kathleen Ann DeMENT, 57, of Mount Pleasant, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at home.
No service is planned.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mount Pleasant, with the family present from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday. Cremation will follow.
A memorial has been established. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Mrs. DeMENT was born Jan. 22, 1955, in Milwaukee, Wis., the daughter of Alois Louis and Dorothy Lone Delores LITTMANN GEIGER. She married Thomas Leroy FARR in Colorado. The couple later divorced.
Mrs. DeMENT spent her formative years in Milwaukee and graduated from high school there. The DeMENTs moved to Mount Pleasant in 1982.
Mrs. DeMENT loved being a homemaker and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking and watching the Cooking Channel.
Mrs. DeMENT was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include three daughters, Lauren FARR-PIPER and husband Daniel of Winfield, Holly Ann FARR of Mount Pleasant and Sarah SCHILLERSTROM and husband Shawn of Fairfield; one son, David FARR of Fort Madison; three grandchildren; two brothers, Al GEIGER of Wisconsin and Michael GEIGER of Las Vegas; one sister, Jenny GEIGER of Las Vegas; and her significant other, Bruce Ross of Mount Pleasant.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jeffrey GEIGER; and one sister, Karen GEIGER.
