Raymond H. GRIFFIN Sr.

Raymond H. GRIFFIN Sr., 75, 50 North 10th St., died at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 1991, at his home.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. George Koch officiating. Burial will be in McDowell Cemetery (sic. located in Jefferson county, Iowa). The casket will be closed, but friends may call to sign the register. Memorials may be given to organization of donor's choice.

GRIFFIN was born April 23, 1916, in Mount Pleasant, the son of Archibald and Ethyl (sic. Ethel) RHODES GRIFFIN. He married Eleanor O. PERSSON on Nov. 20, 1942, at Staten Island, N.Y. She died April 15, 1971. A resident of the Fairfield community most of his life, he was a self-employed iron worker and plasterer. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II.

Surviving are three sons, Raymond H. Jr., Robert A. Richard A. all of Fairfield; three daughters, Rose KELLER, Sally HECKETHORN, both of Fairfield, Susan LUETH of Fort Leonardwood, Mo.; 10 grand-children; three brothers, Bill, George, both of Fairfield, Gail of Arkansas; two sisters, Betty BILLINGSLEY and Shirley BARROW, both of Fairfield. His parents, four brothers, Archie, Earl, Glen, Thomas Leroy, and a sister, Mary, preceded him in death.
