Grace BAKER

PACKWOOD-- Grace MURPHY BAKER, 87, of Packwood, died Tuesday, 11:40 a.m., at Jefferson County Hospital.

Services will be Friday, 1:30 p.m., at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Harbour officiating. Burial will be in Packwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, 7 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. BAKER was born Oct. 12, 1892 in Jefferson County near Brookville, the daughter of John Allen and Minerva TUCKER MOORMAN. She lived her entire life in the Packwood and Brookville communities, graduating from Packwood schools.

She married John Edward MURPHY June 16, 1920. He died Aug. 5, 1931. She married Samuel (Frank) BAKER April 6, 1971. He died Aug. 21, 1976. She was a school bus driver for Packwood Consolidated Schools for 15 years. She was a member of Packwood United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

Surviving are two daughters, Henrietta WHITTEN, Packwood, Winifred ANCELL, Burlington; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one stepdaughter, Eloise STEWART, Fairfield; three stepsons, Keith and Kenneth BAKER, both of Fairfield and George BAKER, Washington; 13 stepgrandchildren and 16 step-great-grandchildren.

An infant daughter preceded her in death.
