Betty Ruth DUTTWEILER MARTIN, 82, of Ottumwa, died February 21, 2004, at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
She was born May 11, 1921, in Brighton to Raper and Mary DUTTWEILER. She married Carl L. MARTIN on November 11, 1937. He preceded her in death September 2, 1970.
A resident of Ottumwa, since 1964, she attended school in Brighton. She and her husband owned and operated Katie's Bakery. She was a member of the Ottumwa Saddle Club and Pony Express Riders of Iowa.
Surviving are four daughters, Susan HARTER and Linda GEE, both of Blakesburg, Sharman HANDLING of Drakesville and Cheryl MARTIN of Carrolton, Texas; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one sister, Goldie ROBERTSON of Blakesburg.
She is preceded in death by five brother (sic), infant brother Ralph, Ray, Donald, E.W. and Kenneth DUTTWEILER; and two sisters, Dorothy TANNATT and Pearl RUGGLES.
Funeral services were Tuesday, February 24, 2004, at the Reece Funeral Home. Burial was in Shaul Cemetery.
