Lucille T. ADRIAN, 81, of Richland died at 2:32 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center following a brief illness.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Mother Cabrini Church in Richland with the Rev. Paul Connolly officiating. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, followed by family visitation. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mother Cabrini Church, the donor's choice or masses. Gould Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. ADRIAN was born Nov. 12, 1917, in rural Jefferson County to William P. and Christina GREINER ADAM. She married Howard P. ADRIAN Aug. 30, 1938, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Clear Creek. He died March 15, 1999.
She grew up in the Clear Creek area and graduated from Clear Creek school in 1933. After her marriage, she and her husband moved to rural Richland where they farmed until their retirement in 1974. They moved to Richland following their retirement.
Mrs. ADRIAN was a charter member of Mother Cabrini Catholic Church, a member of Altar and Rosary Society, parish chairwoman of Diocesan Council of Catholic Women and belonged to Federated Woman's Club, in which she held offices.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry and John ADRIAN, both of Richland, and Howard ADRIAN Jr., of Fairfield; one daughter, Judy DICKEY of Packwood; nine grandchildren; five brothers, Walter, Richard and Ronald ADAM, all of Fairfield, Omer ADAM of Richland, and Donald ADAM of Keota; five sisters, Eleanor SOBASKI and Isabelle LEPPERT, both of Richland, Marion HAMMES of Keota, Jeanette FRENCH of Rockford, Ill., and Francine FREEMAN of Chuluota, Fla.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
