E. LATHROP Rites Set

Services for Ernest "Ernie" LATHROP, 67, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Hickman officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Members of the family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight, Tuesday, from 7 to 8 p.m.

LATHROP died at 7:55 a.m. Monday at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. The family home is Ranch Trailer Court.

Ernest Wesley LATHROP was born June 24, 1911, in Fairfield. His parents were Joseph and Jessie SHIRKEY LATHROP. He was reared and educated in Fairfield and was married to Mary LYONS, July 1, 1939, at Memphis, Mo.

He had worked for 17 years for Universal Producing Co. as a warehouseman.

Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Delores CAVIN, Ollie; Karen ANDERSON, Mount Pleasant; two sons, Mike, Mediapolis; Jack, Fairfield; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. George GRIFFIN and Wilma BAILEY, both of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
