Betty Jane BILLINGSLEY

Betty Jane BILLINGSLEY, 75, formerly of 902 W. Hempstead Ave., died at 10:20 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 1999, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Parker officiating. Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery in Hillsboro. Family visitation will be 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established.

Mrs. BILLINGSLEY was born March 10, 1924, the daughter of Archie Baldwin and Ethel Irene RHOADES GRIFFIN. She married Walter Rex BILLINGSLEY May 24, 1941, in Kahoka, Mo. He died Nov. 12, 1996.

Mrs. BILLINGSLEY graduated from Lockridge High School in 1941. She had lived all her life in the Fairfield area.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda HENDRICKS of Fairfield; one son Ivan "Rusty" BILLINGSLEY of Stockport; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Gail "Pete" GRIFFIN of Morrilton, Ark.; and one sister, Shirley BARROW of Fairfield.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary; and seven brothers, William, Earl, George, Glen, Roy, Raymond and Archie GRIFFIN.
