Jennie NELSON graveside rite

Jennie C. NELSON, 80, Parkview Care Center, died at 9 a.m. Sunday, May 1, 1988, at Parkview Care Center.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Cemtery with the Rev. Clair Odell officiating. Friends may call at their convenience at Raymond Funeral Home starting Tuesday morning. A memorial has been established to the Parkview Care Center Activity Fund.

Mrs. NELSON was born Aug. 9, 1907, in Fairfield, the daughter of Alex and Elizabeth HEISEL CARMICHAEL. She lived in Van Buren County until her marriage to Albert "Bert" NELSON May 17, 1931, at Barhydt Chapel on the Parsons College campus. She taught in rural schools for four years and in the Libertyville School for four years, living in Libertyville until they moved to the Chicago area, where she worked at a bank in Oak Park. They lived a number of years in South Bend, Ind., and in Florida until he died in 1976. She moved to Fairfield in 1978.

Surviving are a sister, Clare BUCHANAN of Fairfield, several nieces and nephews. A brother and a sister preceded her in death.
