Arthur "Duge" Delmer VOGT, 91, of Fairfield, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at home.
A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Evergreen Cemetery, with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating. The casket will be closed.
Visitation will be from 6:30-7:30 p.m. today at Behner Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the children's section of the Fairfield Public Library. Cards and memorials may be sent to Roeana Pool at 908 W. Grimes Ave., Fairfield 52556.
Mr. VOGT was born Dec. 8, 1920, in Fairfield, the son of Joseph Fredrick and Martha Jane EDLER VOGT.
Mr. VOGT attended school in Fairfield and lived all his life in the community. He was co-owner, with his brother, of a sanitation company before his retirement.
Mr. VOGT enjoyed feeding the cats, riding his bicycle and chewing tobacco.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Chester and Raymond VOGT; and three sisters: Lucille HENDERSON, Sophia CRAFTON and Florence FLEMING.
