Melba J. STOLTZ

Melba J. STOLTZ, 73, of Stockport, died at 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, at SunnyBrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. The body has been cremated.

Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua is assisting with arrangements.

Melba J. STOLTZ

Melba J. STOLTZ, 73, of Stockport died Jan. 15, 2012, at SunnyBrook Living Care Center, Fairfield.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with the Rev. Frank Tortat officiating. Family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, prior to the service.

Burial of the cremains will be in Rush Lake Cemetery, Curlew. Gifts to a memorial to be designated by the family later may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 1648 Highway 2, Donnellson 52625.

Mrs. STOLTZ was born Nov. 19, 1938, in rural Mallard, the daughter of Fred and Gertrude HAHN HOUGH. She married Jerome "Jerry" H. STOLTZ Aug. 10, 1958.

She attended Nevada No. 1 rural school and Mallard Community Schools.

Mrs. STOLTZ and her husband lived in Estherville, Mallard, Curlew, Fairfield and moved to Stockport in 1994.

She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, baking, gardening flowers and vegetables, her two cats and puppy.

She was a member of Stockport United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

Survivors include her husband of SunnyBrook Living Care Center; one son, Jeffrey STOLTZ and spouse Teri of Donnellson; one brother, Emerson HOUGH of Hiawatha; three sisters, Betty EDWARDS and Maxine RUPPERT both of Emmetsburg and Marguerite BRAMLEY of Cylinder; and four grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Shirley and Sheila STOLTZ; five brothers, Robert, Lawrence, William, Charles and Richard HOUGH; and one sister, Helen SWANSON LARSEN.
