Beulah Marie LEWIS

Beulah Marie LEWIS, 64, of Ottumwa, former area resident, died Friday, Aug. 2, 1996, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center. The service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Clarkson officiating. Burial will be in in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to Jefferson County Heart Association.

Miss LEWIS was born Nov. 11, 1931, in Douds, the daughter of Charles M. and Merl H. JOHNSON LEWIS. She graduated from from Fairfield High School in 1950, and from Mercy School of Nursing in Burlington. She had lived in Ottumwa four years and before that in Chicago, where she worked as a registered nurse for more than 38 years at Lakeside Veterans Hospital.

Surviving are two sisters, Lucile HINING of Fairfield, Mary KAWANO of Chicago; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and infant sister, Verla Ruth; and a brother, Roy E. LEWIS.
