BRIGHTON - Jane DRZYCIMSKI HAMILTON, 91, of Brighton, died this morning, Wednesday, July 31, 1996, at her sister's home in Brighton, following a brief illness.
A funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain, with the Rev. David Brownfield officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton. Family visitation will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton, followed by prayers for a Christian wake at 8. A general memorial has been established.
Mrs. HAMILTON was born May 29, 1905, south of Pleasant Plain, the daughter of Martin and Mary WYSOSKI DRZYCIMSKI. She attended Hawkeye No. 8 country school, worked in Chicago for five winters as a cook, radio and television factory worker, and doing housework. She worked at home on the farm in the summers; later she stayed home to care for her parents, and in 1940 moved into Brighton, where she continued cleaning houses. She married Lester "Tim" HAMILTON in 1948. He died March 20, 1974. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
Surviving are three sisters, Gertrude FELEYN of Paw Paw, Mich., Barbara MOSINSKI of Fairfield, Clara SHELANGOSKI of Brighton; many nieces and nephews. A brother, Dominic DRZYCIMSKI, preceded her in death.
