John Edward FRITTS Jr.

John Edward FRITTS Jr., 66, of Fairfield, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at Parkview Care Center.

The body has been cremated, and a private burial will be at a later date.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Behner Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Parkview Care Center activity fund or Hospice Compassus. Memorials may be mailed to 2374 Juniper Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Mr. FRITTS was born Nov. 25, 1945, in Fairfield, the son of John Edward Sr. and Ezra Ernestine HUNT FRITTS. He married Jane REDEKER Feb. 28, 1964. They later divorced. He married Susan Pauline WOLF Aug. 9, 1991, in Fairfield.

Mr. FRITTS was a lifelong resident of Fairfield. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1964. He owned and operated Fritts Auto Parts and sold parts for different auto parts stores in Fairfield.

Mr. FRITTS was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife; three children: Christy ROUSH of Fairfield, Cathy APLARA and husband George of Fairfield and Beth SMITH and husband Bud of Fairfield; one step-son: Corbin SHY of Fairfield; one daughter-in-law: Rose FRITTS; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four siblings: Barbara McCLELLAN of Sycamore, Ill., Sandra YARNELL of Birmingham, Martha Kay DAVIS of Maui, Hawaii, and Ramona STITES of Cottonwood, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son: Edward William FRITTS.
