Gerold Glen Will
October 10, 2003Gerold Glen Will, 48, of Packwood died at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, at Jefferson County Hospital.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Prairie View United Methodist Church on Highway 78 at Packwood Road, with the Rev. Donna Hughes-Hargrave officiating and military rites by Richland Post 504 American Legion.
The body will be cremated after the funeral.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral Monday at the church.
Memorials may be made for the education of his daughter Emma.
Elliott Chapel of New London is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Will was born Aug. 23, 1955, in Belleville, Ind., the son of Oscar and Dorothy Goodwin Whitten Will. He married Shirley Hoffmann May 13, 2000, at Camp Wesely Woods in Indianola.
Mr. Will was a graduate of Royal High School in Simi Valley, Calif. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. He worked as a mechanic at Honda of Simi Valley, Rockwell of Santa Susanna Mountains, Calif., and MP Enterprises of Ventura, Calif.
He attended Prairie View United Methodist Church, where he was a member of United Methodist Men and the church choir.
He enjoyed computers and mechanics.
Survivors include his wife Shirley Hoffmann Will and daughter Emma Hoffmann Will, both of Packwood; his mother and stepfather Dorothy and Norman Whitten of Kingman, Ariz.; four brothers, Sam Will of Kingman, Oscar Will of Simi Valley, Jack Will of Soldotna, Alaska, and Jim Will of Newberry Park, Calif.; one half-sister, Fran Williams of New Carlisle, Ind.; and two stepsisters, Deb Morganstern of St. Thomas, Va., and Susie Shands of Belleville, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his father.
