Hulda Ruth ENSMINGER

Hulda Ruth ENSMINGER, 102, of Boswell, Ind., died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at Indina University Health Center in Lafayette, Ind.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Milton Christian Church, with the Rev. Justin DeVries and guest ministers from Indiana officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.

Family visitation will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Memorials to Milton Christian Church may be left at the church or may be mailed to the family at 13445 200th Road, Douds 52551.

Arrangements are in the care of Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Mrs. ENSMINGER was born Dec. 13, 1909, in Bloomfield, the daughter of Henry and Eva SANDERSON TRACHSEL. She married James Everett ENSMINGER Dec. 24, 1929, in Pulaski. He died April 7, 1997.

Mrs. ENSMINGER graduated from Troy High School in 1927. She attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls and then taught school for six years. She and her husband farmed near Troy and Pleasant Lawn; LeRoy, Ill., and Freeland Park and Fowler, Ind. They owned and operated Boswell Motel in Boswell, Ind., for more than 29 years.

Mrs. ENSMINGER was a longtime member of Boswell Church of Christ, where she played the organ. She was a 50-year member of Benton County Chorus, a member of Parish Grove Home Economics Club and a lifetime supporter of Lincoln Christian University in Lincoln, Ill.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers: Gifford HARGROVE and Herman, Ray, Merle, Earl and Paul TRACHSEL; and two sisters: Dora and Flora HENDRICKS.
