Mrs. Virginia BICKFORD

Mrs. Virginia BICKFORD, 93, died at the Solt nursing home, 109 North College street, at 2:30 this morning.

Born September 24, 1865, at Abingdon, she was the daughter of William and Martha JAQUES CRAWFORD. She lived in Ottumwa when a young girl and later made her home in Batavia until five years ago.

She was married to Hiram BICKFORD (sic - Gehamie H. BICKFORD)of Batavia, who preceded her in death.

Surviving is a half-sister Mrs. Katherine DOHERTY of Ottumwa. Several nieces and nephews also lived in Ottumwa.

Besides her husband, two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Campbell funeral home in Batavia. Burial will be at Abingdon with nephews serving as pallbearers.

Note: Gehamie H. BICKFORD was married three times; Virginia was his third wife. Her middle name is Isabelle per her marriage record.
