Death Takes Mrs. PETERS

Mrs. Hattie E. PETERS, 87, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Jefferson County Hospital at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. She became ill at her home, 306 S. Court, and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The body is at Weston Behner Funeral Home where last rites are pending.

Hattie E. PETERS was born April 25, 1887, at Aurora, Neb., the daughter of John L. and Clara E. GEBHART WILSON. She died on her 87th birthday.

She was married to J. R. PETERS Oct. 25, 1905. He died Jan. 5, 1967. They had made their home in the Fairfield area since 1938. Mrs. PETERS was a member of the First Christian Church at Aurora.

Three daughters and seven sons survive. They include Mrs. Mary WILLIAMS, Fairfield; Mrs. Nels HOLM, Hedrick; Mrs. Lester HEADLEY, Fairfield.

Also Floyd, Rocky Mountain, N.C.; Ralph of Bruce, Wis.; Virgil, Fairfield; Gale, Baldwin, N.Y.; Kenneth, Richmond, Va.; John, Fort Madison; Lyle, Jackson, Miss.

Other survivors include 25 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mary CHRISTIANSON, Plano, Ill., and Margaret FOWLER, Hordville, Neb.; one brother, George WILSON, Aurora.

Mrs. PETERS was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother and a grandchild,
