Wednesday, 15 September 1948DIES AT HOME IN ABINGDON
Mrs. James HENDERSON, 63, a life-time resident of Jefferson county, passed away at 5:40 a.m. today at her home in Abingdon. She had been seriously ill since last Sunday.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Abingdon Christian church with the Rev. S. P. Williamson in charge. The body is at the Hoskins funeral home.
Maud May HENDERSON was born March 27, 1885, in Jefferson county, the daughter of the late Willis and Sarah SMITH McDOWELL. She was united in marriage on March 16, 1908, in Wapello county to James HENDERSON, who survives.
Mrs. HENDERSON had lived her entire life in Jefferson county, the past 20 years in Abingdon. She was a member of the Abingdon Christian church.
Besides her husband, Mrs. HENDERSON is survived by one daughter, Irene, at home. She is also survived by two brothers, W. L. McDOWELL, Batavia; T. H. McDOWELL, Auburn, Nebraska. Two sisters preceded her in death.
