SNIDER Funeral At Abingdon

Funeral services for Perry J. "Peck" SNIDER will be at the Abingdon Church at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Kermit Black officiating. Masonic rites will be conducted at the grave in the Abingdon cemetery.

SNIDER, 73, died at 12:25 p.m. Tuesday at the Jefferson County Hospital. He had been in failing health year and seriously ill the past three weeks.

Perry J. SNIDER was born Aug. 28, 1895, at Abingdon. He was the son of James and Clara MYERS SNIDER, and married Wanita DeGOOD on May 8, 1916, at Princeton, Mo.

He was a longtime groceryman. He operated stores in Abingdon and Fairfield. He was a member of the Fairfield Christian Church, the Abingdon Masonic Lodge and the Fairfield Elks Lodge.

Survivors include his wife; one son Carroll, Des Moines; and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by one brother.
