Mrs. Adrian RILEY

HEDRICK -- Mrs. Gleda Bessie RILEY, 66, died today at 4:10 a.m. at Memorial Custodial Home in Ottumwa.

She was born May 19, 1908, in Keokuk County to Frank and Alice COX GRISSOM.

A lifetime resident of the area, she was formerly employed at the Good Samaritan Center in Ottumwa and McCoy Nursing Home in Hedrick. She was a member of the Hedrick Christian Church.

On May 19, 1925, she married Adrian RILEY in Fairfield. He died in 1961. Two sons and one sister also preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Melvin of Hedrick and Larry Gene of Cedar; two daughters, Mrs. Helen FITZGERALD of Hedrick and Mrs. Dorothy THOMPSON of Killduff; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Cecil GRISSOM of Winthrop and Morris GRISSOM of Cedar Rapids and one sister, Mrs. Marjorie HEDLUND of Hedrick.

Fremont Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

RILEY Service

HEDRICK -- The service for Mrs. Gleda RILEY, 66, who died Monday, will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Hedrick Christian Church, with the Rev. J. W. Garbison officiating. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery.

Fremont Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. On Dec. 25, visitation will be after 4 p.m.

Transcribed for genealogy purposes, Gleda was my aunt.
