M. NORDYKE rite at Abingdon

ABINGDON ---- Maud H. NORDYKE, 84, died at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Abingdon Church with Keevin Koch, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield. A memorial has been established to Packwood First Responders.

Mrs. NORDYKE was born July 10, 1904, near Abingdon, the daughter of Harrison and Nettie DeGOOD SMITH, and lived all her life in the Abingdon community. She was a member of the Abingdon church of Christ and the Mystery Sisters. She married Carl E. NORDYKE Feb. 26, 1922, near Batavia. He died March 20, 1977. Three sons, three brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.

Surviving are five sons, William, Ronald, Delbert, all of Abingdon, David of Agency, Richard of Bonaparte; four daughters, Grace SMITH of Agency, Madyline PERKINS, Helen JOHNSON, both of Seattle, Mary DAY of Fairfield; 30 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and a brother John H. SMITH of Sacramento, Calif.
