PACKWOOD --- Clyde A. MYERS, 71, Packwood farmer and businessman, died Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Jefferson County Hospital.
The body is at the Campbell Funeral home in Eldon. Arrangements are pending.
MYERS was born July 6, 1901 in Jefferson County, the son of Charles Omer and Lottie Irene WEBB MYERS. He spent his entire life in the Abingdon, Batavia and Packwood communities.
MYERS was a former school teacher. He was engaged in the trucking business and he operated the Packwood stockyards for several years.
MYERS was married to Mildred WILSON Oct 31, 1926. Surviving are his widow; one son, Merle MYERS, Packwood; and two daughters, Mrs. Marvalene HENDRICKSON, Richland; and Mrs. Marilyn MERCER, Salisbury, Md.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Lawrence MITCHELL, Abingdon. He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Myers was a member of the Packwood Christian Church, Abingdon Masonic Lodge, Kaaba Shrine and the Fairfield Elks Club.

PACKWOOD --- Last rites for Clyde A. MYERS, 71, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Packwood Christian Church.
MYERS, Packwood farmer and business man, died Monday at the Jefferson county Hospital where he had been a patient for 10 days.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Byron Newland and the Rev. Kermit Black. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery.
Members of the family will be at the Campbell Funeral Home in Eldon at 7 o'clock tonight. A memorial has been established at the Packwood Christian Church.
