Stroke Fatal To C. O. MYERS

Charles O. MYERS. 69, well known Jefferson county farmer, passed away at his home two and a half miles southwest of Packwood at 6:35 a.m. Sunday. He suffered a stroke Saturday evening and never recovered.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Abingdon Christian church in charge of Rev. Lodwig. Burial will be in Abingdon cemetery, the body will be taken from the Hoskins funeral home to the church at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Charles Omar MYERS was born January 30, 1878, in Jefferson county, the son of the late Alfred and Sarah Elizabeth LONGERBONE MYERS. He was reared and educated in Jefferson county and spent his entire life in this community.

He is survived by his wife and the following children; Clyde and Wallace MYERS, Packwood; Zerle, Fairfield; and Florence MITCHELL, Abingdon. Mr. MYERS is also survived by one stepson, Earl KENYON, Tucson, Arizona; six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Daisy SALTS, Fairfield; three brothers, Walter, Fairfield; Lawrence, Packwood; and T .O. MYERS, Wall Lake, Michigan.
