Florence MITCHELL dies at 82

Florence Edith MITCHELL, 82, Batavia route 2, died Wednesday at 3 p.m. at her home in Abingdon.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with Kevin Koch officiating. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery.

Family visitation will be held Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the Abingdon church.

Mrs. MITCHELL was born Sept. 8, 1902 in Abingdon, the daughter of Charles Omer and Lottie Irene WEBB MYERS. She was married to Lawrence MITCHELL Jan. 1, 1924. He preceded his wife in death April 24, 1977.

Mrs. MITCHELL was a lifelong resident of Abingdon and a member of the Abingdon Christian Church.

She is survived by one son, Keith MITCHELL, Packwood: three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Three brothers are deceased.
