ABINGDON --- Lawrence Earl MITCHELL, 73, resident of Abingdon, died at 11:25 a.m. Sunday at the Jefferson County Hospital where he had been a patient since April 12.
Services will be Wednesday, April 27 at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield. The Masonic Lodge No. 104 of Abingdon will conduct the services. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery.
Lawrence Earl MITCHELL was born Nov. 15, 1903, in Jefferson County. He was the son of John L. and Nellie CARR MITCHELL.
A retired farmer, he was a resident of Jefferson county his entire life. He was a member of the Abingdon Masonic Lodge.
His marriage to Florence MYERS took place Jan. 1, 1924, in Fairfield. She survives.
Other survivors include one son, Keith MITCHELL, Packwood; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
