Nathalie A. MITCHELL

Nathalie A. MITCHELL, 68, 306 E. Hempstead Ave., died at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 1992, at Jefferson County Hospital shortly after being admitted.

The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Packwood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Edith Dunkin and Keevin Koch officiating. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery at Abingdon. Visitation is open at Raymond Funeral Home. Memorials have been established to the American Cancer Society and the Alzheimer's Foundation.

Mrs. MITCHELL was born Nov. 19, 1923, at Shawano, Wis., the daughter of George and Hildegard NETZEL HILL. She grew up in Shawano, graduated from Shawano High School and moved to Milwaukee, where she worked for the Allis-Chalmers Plant. She married Keith E. MITCHELL on June 4, 1949, at Shawano. They lived in Aurora, Ill. from 1949 until 1952, when they moved to a farm east of Abingdon. They owned and operated the Bogus Grocery Store at Abingdon from 1965 to 1975, moved to Packwood in 1975 and operated the Hub until 1983. They moved to Fairfield in November 1990. She was a member of the Packwood United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Order of Eastern Star, VFW Auxiliary, Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary, and bowled for many years in the Squaw Bowling League at Fairfield.

Surviving are her husband; a son, Larry E. of Fairfield; two daughters, Mary HORTON of Carter Lake, Donna MITCHELL of Fairfield; three grandchildren; two brothers, Edgar HILL of Shawano, John HILL in Louisiana and a sister, Ila MOEDE of Shawano. Her parents, a brother, Arthur HILL, and four sisters in infancy preceded her in death.
